All children should be reading 30 minutes every night--reviewing Study Island on internet and/or working on Science Fair Projects

Parents:  I realize that some nights you will want to work on Science Fair Projects/Study Island. This is left up to your descretion-Science Fair Projects are to be done at home and are due on February 10th-Friday. Please review with your child the Study Islands that come home-the missed ones.  If you go to the site, it will give you explanations and the answers.  We review them in class,but it is always a good idea to review at home as well. Science Fair Projects are due on Friday, February 10th and need to be worked on at home-questions will be answered in school-Having difficulties? Please write down questions or concerns so that your child may get answers.

Study Islands are done every day in the classroom, however, the children should be going to studyisland.com to review the topics that they do poorly on; we are reviewing in the classroom as well.  Statistics show that the children that visit the site on a regular basis, do better on the assessments. All children should be reading a chapter book and summarizing each chapter as he/she reads- also filling out the vocabulary log as new words are introduced.

All children have their usernames and passwords for Study Island, please have them go on line to review.

We are reviewing Science Study Islands in class and then we are retaking them the following day-different test-same content.
