The PSAT helps students prepare for the SAT.  On average students who take the PSAT score 120 points higher on the SAT than those who do not.  Results from the PSAT give students comprehensive, personalized feedback on their test performance, allowing them to see which questions they answered incorrectly and which academic skills they should work to improve on for taking the SAT. By taking the PSAT, it also automatically provides students entry into National Merit Scholarship Corporation competitions as well as other scholarship and recognition programs.
