AMS is pleased to be able to continue College
Now this school year. The program is a result of a partnership between the Academy of Math and Science and Pima Community College which
provides our students with an option to earn college credits during their career as a high school student. We
began the program last year by offering a limited number of college level classes to our students, with the aim to expand the program in subsequent years to include a wider range of classes in various disciplines.
During this school year, we are offering the following courses which may be taken for college credit if students meet certain academic requirements: Environmental Biology, Pre-Calculus, and
English 101. In order to earn college credit for these courses, students must demonstrate college readiness through college assessments in math, reading, and writing, as well as demonstrate the ability to handle the rigors of a college level course.
If you feel your student qualifies for the College
Now program, please contact the school office at 520-293-2676 for
the necessary forms and testing. |
