Svetlana Arakelova is an award-winning pianist from the Republic of Georgia.
Since her first orchestra appearance at age 9, she has performed as a soloist with orchestras throughout Georgia and Russia.
Dr. Arakelova received her early education in the Special Gymnasium in Tbilisi, Georgia, where students are chosen for their unusual talents. She then went on to attend the State Conservatory where she received her Bachelor’s, Masters’ and Doctorate degrees, graduating with honors. She also taught piano for 25 years in the Special Music College for talented students and was an active performer within her country on television and radio.
